Sophie - A portrait
A portrait series photographed in Hermosa North, Costa Rica, created around Sophie’s wish to be captured within a natural environment. Surrounded by ocean, rock and changing July light, the shoot explores a softer kind of elegance natural, feminine and shaped by the landscape.

The dress became a statement within the landscape, its layers of steel blue, subtle shimmer and textured fabric shifting with the natural light. Movement and hand placement were used to reveal the different weights and transparencies within the material, allowing the fabric to shape itself around the body. Against the raw coastline, its elegance became even more pronounced.
